EU funds 2007-2013

In the 2007-2013 financial Perspective, the Republic of Croatia annually had at its disposal more than 150 million euro through the IPA pre-accession programme. After its accession to the European Union, in the second half of 2013, Croatia was allocated around 450 million euro through Cohesion policy instruments. Programme documents for the use of funds, which are adopted by the European Commission after consulting with the member state, are the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) and Operational Programmes. The National Strategic Reference Framework is the main strategic and programming document identifying the priorities for the use of financial instruments. 

Operational programmes are documents that determine the key measures for achieving and implementing established priorities according to certain sectoral areas.

The total allocation for the seven-year 2007-2013 financial period through four operational programmes amounted to 1,012,433,333 euro, of which the EU contribution was 858,275,018 euro. Operational programmes for the mentioned period include:
