Operational programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020 is the main programme document for implementing EU’s Cohesion policy and contributing to the Investment for growth and jobs goal, by supporting investments in infrastructural projects (in the areas of transport, energy, environmental protection, ICT), as well as supporting the development of entrepreneurship and research activities.
Within the Operational programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, the Republic of Croatia has at its disposal EUR 6.831 billion, of which EUR 4.321 billion from the European Regional Development Fund and EUR 2.150 billion form the Cohesion Fund.
When the amount is increased by the share of obligatory national co-financing from the Croatia’s budget, the total value of the OP is EUR 8.037 billion.

Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds is the beneficiary of the project: „Technical Assistance for MRDEUF“ which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Priority Axis 10 – Technical Assistance for the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion. The aim of the project is supporting employment measures, preserving jobs, educating and training employees for the management of EU Funds, supporting efficient implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes financed by ESI Funds, as well as supporting the activities of informing the public and raising the capacity of (potential) beneficiaries for preparing and implementing projects.
The total project value is HRK 267,496,647.06, of which HRK 227,372,150.00 is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The project will be implemented in the period from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020.
